Who we are and how we work
Electrical installation and repair services from £XX (call for a precise quote). Based at Northfleet, we cover Rosherville, Ebbsfleet, Swanscombe, Springhead, Wombwell Park and surrounding areas. NICEIC approved and Part P registered, our work is backed by a £5 million public liability policy and completed to current electrical safety standards.
What you can expect
Before work begins, we’ll provide a fixed written price, explain the scope of the work and confirm any certification required. The quoted amount includes agreed labour, materials and applicable certification, and your bill won’t exceed it unless you authorise additional work in writing.
You can expect:
- clear expected timings for attendance, work completion and any necessary testing;
- an agreed arrival procedure, including access arrangements and notice if we’re delayed;
- tidy, professional work, with reasonable care taken to protect your property and leave the work area safe.
We’ll explain any findings that affect the agreed scope before proceeding. Where conditions cannot be assessed until work starts, we’ll pause and discuss the available options and costs with you. We’ll issue relevant electrical certification after satisfactory completion, where the work requires it.
Our promises
We make the following commitments to you before and during our work: - We will provide a written fixed price before work starts; we will not charge more than that quoted amount except where the written quote explicitly states circumstances that may change the price (for example, unforeseen additional work), in which case we will seek your agreement before proceeding. - We are registered with NICEIC and with Part P where applicable, and we hold public liability insurance. (Note: being registered with these bodies does not remove all legal obligations; for example, some electrical work still must be notified to your local building control unless the installer makes that notification under Part P.) - We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee covering defects in the work we have carried out; this does not extend to damage caused by misuse, third parties, or normal wear and tear, and any specific terms will be set out in writing.
A fixed price in writing before we start
Receive a fixed price in writing before any work begins. We’ll inspect the required work, confirm the agreed specification, and provide a written quote stating the price, included labour, materials, VAT and any certification required. Your fixed price is the amount you’ll pay for the described work; the final bill won’t exceed the quote.
We provide no hidden charges for work included within the agreed scope. If unforeseen conditions arise, such as concealed damage or unsuitable existing wiring, we’ll explain the issue and obtain your approval before proceeding with additional work.
Scope changes requested by you, including extra sockets, altered fittings or revised installation requirements, will be priced separately in writing. We’ll not undertake those changes until you accept the revised quotation. This guarantees you understand the cost and obligations before we start.
NICEIC approved, Part P registered, fully insured
Choose Northfleet Electrician for NICEIC-approved electrical work carried out by a Part P registered contractor. We undertake installations, alterations and testing in accordance with applicable NICEIC standards and Building Regulations requirements. Where notification is required, we will complete the relevant process and provide the appropriate documentation to you.
We are fully insured, including £5 million public liability Insurance coverage. This protects against liabilities arising from our work, subject to the policy terms, conditions and exclusions. We’ll maintain valid approval, registration and insurance while undertaking your agreed work.
You must provide accurate property information, disclose known electrical defects and allow safe access to the installation. We may pause work where unsafe conditions, concealed defects or regulatory requirements require further assessment. Our approval, registration and insurance do not remove your responsibility to maintain your electrical installation safely.
12-month workmanship guarantee
All workmanship completed by Northfleet Electrician is covered by our 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of completion. If a fault arises because our installation, repair or testing was not completed to the required standard, we’ll inspect the issue and rectify qualifying work without additional labour charges.
You must notify us promptly and provide reasonable access for inspection and remedial work. This guarantee applies only to the work stated in your written quote or invoice.
Workmanship exclusions include faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, alterations by others, lack of maintenance, water ingress, supply failures, existing installation defects, or circumstances outside our control. The guarantee does not cover material defects, manufacturer faults, or products supplied by you; these may be subject to the relevant manufacturer’s warranty. Your statutory rights aren’t affected.
Where we work
We work across Northfleet borough, centred on the DA11 postcode area, including the town centre, Rosherville village, Ebbsfleet, Swanscombe, Springhead and Wombwell Park. We also visit ground‑floor flats and maisonettes in the town centre and purpose‑built low‑rise apartment blocks near the river.
We provide all work at customers’ premises in Northfleet and do not maintain a public trade counter at The Old Rectory Business Centre for customer visits or equipment collections.
